
One of our goals is to market AHEC to UTMB, i.e., increase our visibility on campus and let people know the resources and expertise we have available through the program office and the centers (and indeed, throughout Texas). Lycia and Rosie have some ideas they'd like us to develop and work on. We are very interested in any thoughts you may have.
Why should we do this? because we are treasure chest hidden from the people who make up UTMB?
Advantages/disadvantages of increased visibility? potential for MORE WORK; potential to have MORE PEOPLE DOING OUR WORK; potential for continued funding; potential for calling attention to efforts being duplicated by other UTMB departments thus inviting collaboration or dissolution of one of the departments.
What image should AHEC be projecting? That we have people resources who are eager to make new partnership to help and have the ability to reach out into communities where UTMB may have no presence and be that presence.
What roles can you see for AHEC in UTMB? I'm thinking!!!!!
Are there obvious partners or connections we should be working with/on? As usual, we should be challenged to consider every department/program a partner, going down the alphbet to brainstorm how we might boost that department's mission.
Ideas on displays - most people like interactive stuff - how can we do this?
projects - when we participate in a project make sure there is ample publicity before and after 
internal marketing or ways to increase interaction and collaboration internally or externally - WE NEED A PUBLICITY CHEERLEADER WITH A MEGAPHONE! Anyone you know?????
