Re: SG 3.: Skills inventory/IT Skills  (United States)

Attached is a skill inventory sheet I obtained from HR, that I tweaked a little bit to fit our situation better.  Please take a look and share comments, changes, suggestions. I know some info is outdated. Was thinking we could do it as a know or would like to learn set up.  thanks.

Re: SG 3.: Skills inventory/IT Skills  (United States)

I think this is a good start but it doesn't cover other skills such as the marketing and web site testing skills you have, Lycia. And from that you also have skills in data entry and extracting data. The skills from human resources are very technical, measurable skills but there are more fluid skills like language ability, cultural competency, or even the ability to be able to start up a conversation with anyone. Also, some feedback from the 'techies', i.e., Mouyong, Yuanyi, and Alex on what skills they anticipate us needing. Probably some feedback from Mary and Ingrid on skills they see the program office needing as well. Well, that's my two-cents worth.

Yes, there are many professional skills that we can caputure.  Think of things like Tom at DFW has done graphic design, some staff are health educations, some of us are nurses, PA's, etc.  I'll be happy to review the list once it gets going.
