To subscribe or unsubscribe to email alerts for forum postings: after logging in, go to any forum page and click on my settings at the top of the page, scroll down to the plus sign (+) by tracking/subscription and click on the plus to open. You will see folders with check boxes, click on the folders to open up the threads. You must check the box for a particular thread(s) and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Update". To unsubscribe uncheck the box before a thread and click "Update". Only check the boxes for the individual threads, checking the boxes for the folders will not subscribe you.

The goal of Brazos AHEC Practice Entry and Support is to establish and maintain programs that recruit and retain health professionals for underserved populations throughout Central Texas

 

· Assisting practicing healthcare professionals to  obtain continuing education

· Supporting National Heath Service Corps participants 

· Convening collaborations of nursing recruiters and   administrators  

· Providing information resources to practicing health professionals

· Assisting healthcare providers with technology needs 

· Addressing the nursing shortage by

à Helping develop new nursing school programs

à Assisting hospitals with retention strategies

à Supplying nursing career information to career counselors

à Marketing nursing as a viable and rewarding career

à Preparing and educating applicants for nursing school admission and retention

This is a great list of goals Melissa. 

 

Between you and Jason I know you also

 

  • Assess regional needs for workforce
  • Link student training placements to potential employee opportunities
  • Foster community skill development in health workforce recruitment and retention strategies
  • Facilitate the health professional successful completion of the recruitment process with selected communities and professionals
