PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

There will be a PE&S conference call on Thursday at 10:00am on September, 14th. We will be discussing iAHEC reporting, THM use and promotion, and plans for the Waco Health Match event.

Congratulations to Nurse Friendly for their award at the TRHA conference.
Texas Health Match was well used and displayed at ORCA's HealthFind 2006.

Re: PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

I was hoping I'd login and see all of the PE&S folks replying about the upcoming conference call.
I think the iAHEC tool is a good one, but we must dedicate ourselves to using it.

Re: PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

I have noted the time and date - plan to be on it.  Also, let's discuss the Baylor visit requested by Pat Kelley, PA Coordinator.

Thanks

Re: PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

Baylor wants to schedule a visit?  I will be interested to hear what that is about unless it is their issues with our housing again.

Re: PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

Heather,

No, thank goodness it does not refer to the housing issue.  While on the phone, Pat Kelley asked who in our organization would talk to the students about rotations, job opportunities, etc.  She said she usually had someone come out from another organization and speak to the students concerning rural rotations, but this person was no longer in the position.  I told her we were interested in doing this.  I think we should put a power point together!  What do you think?

Re: PE&S Conference Call  (United States)

Jim,

Speaking of the Baylor visit, in replying to Heather's post, Trey, myself and Debbie Warren put together a powerpoint for TRHA a few years ago.  Perhaps, we could use it as a basis to get started.  Heather, do you know how to get hold of the power point?

If y'all find that powerpoint, send me a copy too, please. It might be something we can add too and use across the board.

Re: powerpoint  (United States)
I got it and burned ol' Dexter Jones out of it and updated a few more things before uploading it to the AHEC shelf. g:drive/program office/practice entry & support. It looks great. I'd have used it at TRHA if I had know'd about it.

PE&S Call Agenda  (United States)

I'm not a huge fan of conference calls, so I vote to keep them short and sweet.
We have 4 items presented so far. Let's cap them at 15 minutes max discussion. We can rob Peter to pay Paul if we need more or less time on one.

#1. iAHEC Reporting --- iAHEC planning staff (don't know who yet)

#2. THM --- Jim

#3. Waco Health Match--- Melissa and Jim

#4. Baylor Site Visit--- Melissa

Re: cssmith/melissa  (United States)

Ms. Smith, it looks like it's all fixed now. I'm in Galveston today and I'm going to pitch yours and Jason's ideas from our meeting to the power people.

Mr. Jones
